REASON #1: The Clothes

We photograph 3-5 outfits during a portrait session. At our session consultation, we'll go over the different looks, and we'll plan out the best wardrobe choices. Most of the girls I photograph still show up with 8 outfits or more "just in case" one of them doesn't work out as planned. I love this. It makes me smile every time. You can't look down on someone that approaches life prepared for anything. ;)

Guys, on the other hand, often show up with a couple of t-shirts and a nicer shirt stuffed into a bag. "Here," they say, "my mom told me I had to wear this."

Of course, there are exceptions to both statements. I love seeing your personality come out in your clothing choices, in the number of pairs of shoes that you bring, and even in the way you pack the things you are going to wear. It is so much fun getting to know you.

REASON #2: The Smiles

I love seeing you relax into your session and shine from the inside out. When you are your natural self, you are so beautiful. I love capturing real smiles, real emotion, and real connection. In fact, I smile my own big smile everytime I see you come to life during your session.  

Something to think about before your session... your natural smile.  How do you smile best? Teeth or no teeth?

REASON #3: The Confidence

It is one thing for me to photograph you and think you are beautiful. I can even tell you what I see about you that is beautiful. It is a completely different experience for you to feel beautiful. I love creating portrait experiences that make you feel beautiful inside and out.

My work as a photographer has meaning when you can see you light in the images I capture. From time to time I have had a sibling ask, "Are you sure that is my sister?" I can only hope that the kind of confidence that you can gain from this type of experience will, in some small way, help you make your dreams a reality.

REASON #4: The Families

Your senior year is such an important time for your family.  Here you are getting ready to face all new challenges and adventures. Your mom and dad are so proud. They are going through a big transition as well. Even though it means that your family dynamic is changing, it is going to be so much fun for your family to watch you explore the world. I love photographing families during this special time.  

Moms, did you know that you can also get your hair and make up done? We can create a beautiful keepsake of you and your soon to be graduate. Photographs of siblings are also a welcomed addition to the session.

REASON #5: The Friendships

Some of the deepest friendships are formed during high school, and some of your best memeories are probably the fun times you have spent with your friends. Wouldn't you love a portrait with your closest friends before the summer ends and your new chapter begins?
