This is a beautiful example of how Company C shines its light in our Chelsea community and out into the world. Thank you, Thea, for your lovely reflections.
We definitely don't have something like Company C in my country, Norway! I never sing, liker ever, and my voice is definitely not one of the best ones out there, so when my friends told me to audition for Company C I laughed, but when they stared to tell me about all the fun they have together and how you become a family with every one in Company C they won me over. When I realized that it was also a lot of dancing I was sold. I love dancing and I've danced as long as I know. My friends in Company C gave me a lot of support and the confidence to sing and now, I can't stop singing!
The first time we preformed, I was so nervous! I was pretty sure I would probably fall on my face and just run off stage or rip my fishnets or something like that. But when we were standing behind the curtains waiting for our turn to go on, everyone started to awkward dance, we just laughed and looked at each other and had a great time and by the time the curtains went up the nerves were away and the show started! Now I'm injured and can't take a part in Company C for awhile, but I'm still at every practice just so I can spend time with the funniest, craziest people you will ever meet. I am still learning the dances, because I really want to preform at our big show in May!
Best wishes on your performances this weekend. We hope you enjoy every second!
