If you were at the Company C Showcase performance, I am sure that you remember the Awkward Dancing competition.  Hard to forget, right?  Well, I found out that there is more to awkward dancing than you might think.

While this crazy, wild dancing (aka "awkward dancing) is going on, the Company C memebers are quietly waiting backstage for the curtain to go up, right?  Not so much.

The Truth:

"One thing that people might not know about us Co. Cers is that we have a party backstage right before we go on every time. It may be hard to believe because we're so composed when the lights are on us, but if you come backstage we're all dancing with the people on stage (especially us girls during the guy's song) and we lip sync a lot. Sometimes there's even some interpretive dance going on, either way it's just impossible for us to stay calm while we wait to go on."

I laughed a lot when I read this.  When the curtain goes up and Company C comes onstage, there presence is so strong and electrifying that they completely command your attention even before they sing the first note. However, I was so wrong when I thought they were quietly waiting backstage to make their entrance.

"We were all jumping around going absolutely NUTS! We had to be careful to not hit the curtain or be really loud because there are microphones hanging down above the risers, but we just made our dancing all the more crazy. If the audience could see us, we would have won the awkward dancing competition."

Company C, you are amazing.
