Six ballons, three kids, and enough smiles to fill any heart up to the brim.
Each one of these sweet little kiddos came through the studio as a baby. In what seemed like no more than the blink of eye, here there were again, all together this time, and so grown up.
My heart both aches and celebrates as our children grow up so fast. The little things... summer freckles, missing front teeth, those baby curls that are far too adorable to ever cut off... I love these things about my kids, and I love these things about your kids too.
I know it isn't easy. I have three kids of my own and more than my fair share of chaos. What keeps me going are the sweet moments, the times when I see their eyes light up and their worlds expand. I live for the times when the connection is real and the bond is strong. When children reveal their true personalities and the amazing little people they are becoming, it keeps me going as a parent and as an artist.
Though there is chaos, there is also love. This family is filled with love and laughter. Imagine mom crawling on the floor, candy in her mouth, "teasing" the baby when things started to head South.
We giggled. We laughed. We handed the youngest a ballon, she came to life in a whole new way. (Oh my, that smile.)
Rebecca, thank you for the way you have invited me into your family over all of these years. To walk with you as your children grow up is a treasure, but I am equally touched walking next to you and seeing you grow as a mother. You are so loving and you engage with each of your children in a way that shows them that you believe they each have unique, wonderful spirit. And you are right. All three are amazing.
